Shows Therapy is the only facility within a 300 mile radius that specializes in the McKenzie Method of Treatment, integrating elements of Occupational Therapy into its approach.  

The McKenzie Method is a biopsychosocial system of musculoskeletal care that emphasizes patient empowerment and self-treatment. This system of diagnosis and patient management is effective for acute, subacute, and chronic conditions of the spine and extremities. It offers a reliable and practical approach that focuses on 'what patients need' rather than 'what therapists want to do.'  

Backed by years of research, evidence, and clinical practice, this method is known to show results in as little as two to three visits. Our assessment-driven and individualized treatment plans utilize active, not passive, therapy strategies for more successful management. Additionally, our wellness programs are cost-efficient, providing treatment without the need for expensive tests or procedures. The approach is non-invasive, requiring no needles or scalpels, and is self-directed and managed; we work collaboratively with you to teach you effective techniques. This preventative approach equips you with lifelong knowledge and skills.  

The McKenzie Method of MDT gives patients control over their pain and empowers them to return to the life they love, with solutions proven to work!  

We also utilize a REPEX table for spine treatment. The REPEX treatment table is a specialized piece of equipment for the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), designed by Robin McKenzie to assist patients with spinal disorders, particularly low back pain. It provides repetitive, end-range passive motion (flexion and/or extension) to the spine, allowing for a high frequency of movement to reduce pain and centralize symptoms without requiring the patient to perform the movements themselves.  

In addition to this, we offer muscle heat packs, TENS unit treatment, Whirlpool therapy, and Dry Needling therapy as part of our comprehensive therapy services.
